It is the picture when our Spanish Volunteers group has visited our Slums school , here we are preparing to go inside our lovely small study room.

Our School boy is trying to solving the math which has given our volunteers we call each kids and say to try to solve it, In these way they get confidence power + their"s teach skill also improve for other small kids so that in future they could teach other kids too .

Independence day 2012

School kids and volunteers are singing national anthem on Independence day.

Preparing for children food and volunteers are helping for it as you can see we are giving them milk in the glass for each because milk is very important for growing kids.

In Independence Day we have also organized Dance compitition and children really enjoyed it with full energy and they did good performance too.

It is our new roof where we all can see Ganga View , since last one month it was construction work runing here finally it has finished and we brought all the kids on the roof top and they have played and we all took breakfast there.

We have distribute Sweets, fruits, milk and Sandwitch on the Independence day, it was good time for every one.

July Month in the school

 Our Volunteer Sophie Nunns took interest in animals project and she helped to caring our street dogs, she has also given them food and medicine too. As you can see in the picture also these dogs are very friendly with her.

 School girls are practicing coputer in computer awareness program, we are trying to open computer lab where each kids will have one computer, so that they could learn basic computere knowledge + advance knowledge and get good job.

Our Slums school , two volunteers Sophie and Caroline from U.K. are teaching the kids Math subject as we have given them simple addictio and substraction and they both are checking it.

In our Center Volunteer Emi from Japan is playing with the kids and before starting to play she is understanding how should to play Indian indoor game.

5D movie with children & volunteers

Kids waiting in line to watch the 5D Time Machine movie.  It was only a 15 minute movie but was full of fun!  Volunteers Sophie (UK), Roberto & Estiabilez (Spain) accompanied the kids on this field trip.

Movie worker has given everyone special 5D glasses to wear as they said it will not be safe to view the movie with bare eyes.

After the movie finished, the children posed for a mini photo shoot with the McDonald statue at the restaurant on the ground floor of the mall.  Then we all went in to McDonalds to treat the kids to lunch.

Volunteers from Canada came to our center and played a balloon game with the kids. It was such an interesting time with all of them.  They were here only for few hours but in that time, they have given lots of love and happiness to all the kids.

We hired 5 auto ricksaws to take the kids accompanied by volunteers to and from the movie theater.  All the children seemed very glad for this trip!  The 5 auto ricksaws took over a whole road for a little competition of auto ricksaw.  The children were cheering and were so excited.

News Of Slums & Center

We have started school in slums area regularly befor it was not everyday but now there classes is runing 6 days in week, i have hired there one room as a rent and in the slums school we have more than 54 kids, all slums kids are very happy and glad that we have opened the center at their"s place ...before very few kids from slums area come at our center because walking distance from our center to slums area is 30 minute, it is hard for slums kids to come everyday. At our Center thesedays only activities is runing children are playing, learning Zudo from my Japanese friend, learning Drama from Brazil boy, fully fun and learn time for our school center, i have posted some pictures from slums area and our school too. In these Post you can see one single picture where one slums girl with her mother, when we have started education help center at Slums area she came and said she wants to study, she works in shop and shop man bitting her too much and do sexual harrasment too, i asked her how many rupees you get she said 500 Rs. for one month i said you do"t need to go any more there and come in center for education and play i will give these money to you, i hope i save one girl life in these way. I am glad that she and other kids from slums is studying in good way, At our center kids they are very excited because soon we will make organic garden on the roof, Because it is new hope from them they can grow the fruits, flower and vegitable and earn also. For Organic garden i need help of volunteers so welcome everyone in our project in Varanasi.

school Reopened in summer time with water facility

We call it summer saybol machine and it use for taking water from the land. We have digged the land 150 foot length downside and throwed all pipes for bring out clean water, and finally we have completed, now 24 hours fresh water and we can use it for drink, bath and all other uses, actually summer time & other weather too, water is big problem here. In the picture Amit, Louise and Somit all are cleaning the place.

our areas dogs are getting food and they love as you can see in the picture, i have started to give them food at least one time a day because no body give them anything. I am feeling happy inside after distributed them food.

Amit, he is main teacher and take caring of kids education level and we have made the group of all kids and we also fixed the benches in different direction so that it will not be too much rush as it happened past many times,

Last month Rhy has complited Volunteering work at Saraswati Education Center for 3 months as you can see that she is receiving volunteering Appreciation Certificate, which one we have started recently to inspire our volunteers and it will be useful in future as a prove in your country for any work.

Mr. Jason Flowerday, from South Africa is playing indoor game Ludo with our school four kids, these game usually play in four people and children are also looking happy mood.

Field Joy, Painting & Eating

Nancy, from the USA organized a "feel trip" for the children to the Ravidas Park. We get there by boat on which the kids were singing a lot and also their parents joined. It was very interesting because none of them haven't been there before. It took one hour to reach and the kids really enjoyed playing with balls and swinging at the playground. They were fascinated by the big number of trees and started touching it. We also had a picnic with snacks and cold drinks which was organized by Rhi Joyce, a volunteer from Australia.

New Women's Group & Republic Day of India Celebrations

We have just begun a Women's Group at the school for the mother's of the children that we teach and other women in the area. We provide a place for them to meet and support each other whilst learning different skills that they can use in their lives. These women come from very poor backgrounds and most are reliant on their husbands, so with this group we aim to be able to empower them in order for them to be more independent and lead a better life.

At the moment we have started knitting and are making beanies and scarves that they can sell in order for them to make their own money. Our volunteers, Rhi and Sian Joyce from Australia, are leading the group and have bought lots of wool and needles in order for them to knit. So far the women are really enjoying this and are eager to make as many things as they can. In the future we hope for this group to grow so that we can create a network of support for this women.

Also, yesterday was the Republic Day of India so to celebrate this we took the children to a special event where they could do art and play lots of games. All the children won prizes and were smiling and laughing all day long. It was a really, really good day and we hope to take them out again soon.
